Julia Kim’s Inspiring Spiritual Message to meditate on the 1st Saturday Overnight Prayer Meeting on September 7, 2024

Let’s do our best to live the life of martyrdom as befits descendants of martyrs!

Went by small boat when all flights and ships were canceled due to typhoons

Praise be to Jesus! Praise be to the Blessed Mother! I am glad to meet you.

Since September is the Holy Month of Martyrs, I want to call those of you who make pilgrimages to Naju despite facing persecution “martyrs.” Consider how the martyrs of the past were—literally great! Yet today, some people won’t come to Naju over the slightest objections. They don’t come over any small matter. I am not referring to you who are here now.

The world has become so wicked that even the prelates are unable to see or hear spiritual things. They can see and hear worldly matters well. Therefore, we should pray for the clergy. Truly regrettably, many issues happen. However, as descendants of martyrs, we should live a life of martyrdom. What does living a life of martyrdom mean for us? It is the martyrdom in our daily lives.

In the past, saints and martyrs laid down their lives entirely. Even when dying with their bodies being severely torn, they didn’t renounce their faith. It wasn’t just the twelve apostles; there are 3,478 recorded martyrs from that time. And these are only the ones recorded—there must be countless more unknown saints and martyrs.

St. Lawrence was martyred by being laid on a gridiron and roasted alive. It was because he had sold everything to help the poor. When the prefect demanded that he hand them over, he asked for three days to do so. During those three days, he sold everything he had and gave it to the needy and the poor. In the end, he was martyred and ascended to Heaven.

The things of this world are not more than a temporarily passing moment. However, things in the afterlife are eternal, so we should pursue the eternal things of the afterlife. Even if you can't clearly see it with your eyes, if you thoroughly read and practice the Messages of Love from the Lord and the Blessed Mother of Naju, and follow Them by practicing the Five Spiritualities, you will be able to follow that path.

St. Catherine of Alexandria was offered the position of queen by the king if she renounced everything (including faith). However, she refused all of the king’s offers and was martyred. During her martyrdom, she was beaten for two hours until her death, yet she offered up her suffering joyfully. Witnessing her martyrdom, 200 soldiers and onlookers were converted to Catholicism. Imagine how profoundly they were inspired by her martyrdom, leading to 200 conversions! They were subsequently beheaded. They were truly blessed. Even though not all their stories were recorded, they were blessed. And they all went to Heaven.

The king was so enraged by the scene that he ordered St. Catherine to be beheaded. The saints offered up their sufferings with great joy. When St. Catherine was beheaded, she bled. A towel was covering her, and logically, the towel should have been stained with blood, right? (Yes!) However, instead of blood, it was stained with breast milk. It was the Blessed Mother who gave Her Milk.

And St. Paul Jeong Ha-sang and his entire family were also beheaded.

There were so many martyrs in the past. I shared with you about Emperor Nero before. Despite having everything, Emperor Nero eventually committed suicide. He killed his mother, his half-brother, his wife, and many of his officials. Yet, he remained dissatisfied with everything.

His household was filled with such immense splendor that it was almost impossible for anyone to have more. He even had silver shoes for his donkeys. Imagine how they managed with those silver shoes! Silver wears out quickly. So if you put on them silver shoes, you would need to replace them daily. He also had golden fishing rods and hooks. Yet, despite living in such luxury, it’s nothing in the afterlife. So what is the use if he goes to hell? Right, dear ones? Dear all, you are truly blessed children.

In the old days, martyrdom was like this. Some people were covered by their clothes like this, and dogs would tear them to pieces. Some were devoured by lions. They even starved predators to devour those martyrs viciously. Others were burnt to death. If they weren’t burning, they poured oil over them. They lit up the place by burning bodies.

Nobody knows when we are going to the Lord. I think that we should not struggle for money by fighting with one another. Dear ones, what do you think? Is it correct? (Yes!) With love, love alone can conquer everything. All devils would succumb before love. Let us win with love.

Before, I heard that a typhoon named Lingling would be hitting Naju forcefully, so for the last three days before its arrival, I monitored it by computer. Despite continuously watching it, its way remained to strike Naju. “Jesus, please turn it this way, or that way, or make it disappear,” I kept praying.

The Blessed Mother asked us to observe the “First Saturday Vigil.” The day that Lingling was expected to strike here fell on the first Saturday. If we couldn't keep the vigil, it would be regrettable. Therefore, I kept praying to Jesus. Yesterday afternoon, I prayed, "Jesus, even if I suffer pains, I hope typhoon Lingling will not come here to Naju. A typhoon is a natural disaster. Lord, You can prevent this! Please say just one word." At dawn, I even offered up all my pain.

Since 1991, I have been visiting the Philippines by invitation. Today, we have 15 pilgrims from the Philippines with us. Annie Lukban, who invited me there at that time, is also here with us today. In 1995, Atty. Nordy Diploma invited me there as well.

In 1991, I attended several conferences in Manila and delivered the Messages from the Blessed Mother of Naju multiple times after the Masses. We were scheduled to go to an island called Bacolod. At that time, a typhoon was also occurring. So, I prayed, “Today, show us the miracle again that You showed us back then!”

When the typhoon was approaching Naju after passing through Mokpo, it was reported that it would intensify. They said that even at 40 km/h, a train can be derailed. So when I heard it was coming at 50 km/h, I thought, “This is a serious problem.” You are already suffering from persecution as martyrs. And it would be a big issue if you face an accident, coming to Naju. So, I prayed, “It must not happen!” Although many of you have come here, some didn’t come because of the typhoon. Most of you here would come no matter how severe the typhoon is.

I was worried about accidents on the way here, so I earnestly prayed that the typhoon would not come. Today, however, how wonderful the weather at the Blessed Mother’s Mountain in Naju was! Even though there was a breeze, it was pleasantly cool only. The sky was clear and blue, and it was really great.

At dawn, I prayed, "It will be wonderful if Typhoon Lingling would just dissipate. Lord, please protect this place where You and the Blessed Mother are present, and keep all Your children coming here safe, so that not a single soul, not even a finger or toe, may be harmed." I recalled the incident of the Philippines, asking, "Please protect them as You did so back then." I have many such experiences. That was my first time dealing with a typhoon. Shall I share what happened on the island of Bacolod? (Yes!)

Yes, there was a Marian Conference in Bacolod. When I went to Manila, Philippines, after sharing about Our Lady of Naju, many cancer patients and those with incurable diseases were healed. The organizers were very grateful and wanted me to rest somewhere. I strongly refused, saying, "Oh, I definitely won’t go." But they insisted, saying, "Oh, you still need to rest while working. Even Jesus rested." I replied that I was fine since I wasn’t Jesus. But they persisted because they had already booked for me. So, I went there with a heart of obedience.

So, I rested in the bungalow there, but I couldn't sleep at all. I spent the whole night sitting up and praying. At 6 a.m. the next morning, I went out to the beach. If I were who I am now, I wouldn't go out. But at that time, I was not afraid of anything. I would say, "Lord, since You are with me, even though I walk through the valley of darkness, I will not fear or be afraid."

I prayed at the beach, “How wonderful it would be if the hearts of all Your children in the world were as vast as this sea! Transform the sea water into the Precious Blood from Your Five Wounds, the Crown of thorns and pierced Sacred Heart on the Cross. The Precious Blood, poured out without sparing a single drop of Water or Blood. May It cleanse all Your children of the world, and may It be the healing grace they need.” As I prayed, a double rainbow appeared in the sky around 6:10 a.m.

I had never seen or heard of such a thing before. Normally, a rainbow appears when the sun rises or when it's about to rain. But at that time, there was neither sunrise nor any sign of rain. It would have been wonderful just to see a single rainbow, but there was a double rainbow. I prayed, “Oh, Jesus, thank You! How many blessings are You preparing to give us today, showing not just one rainbow, but a double rainbow?”

I accepted the rainbow, which is the Ark of the Covenant, and a string linking Heaven and earth, a sign of Jesus’ promise that He was with us and would remain with us. I was so overjoyed that I praised God with shouts of joy.

However, after two mornings, when we were supposed to go to Bacolod, there was no sign of rain or anything unusual. Suddenly, a typhoon hit with strong winds, causing all flights and ships across the Philippines to be canceled. As a result, we were unable to go to Bacolod. But I insisted, "We have to go. I absolutely must go."

At that time, I was with Father Jerry Orbos and other companions. Everyone said, “It’s definitely impossible.” Father Jerry said the same. They added, “All flights and ships are canceled. How can we possibly get there?” I insisted, “We still need to go.” Though they didn’t say it out, they might have thought I was very stubborn. I am someone who believes that we must do what we need to do for the Lord.

A lot of people had been preparing for the conference in Bacolod for almost a year and were eagerly waiting for that day. If it were close by, it might have been different. But they had reached out to those from far away, and it wasn’t possible to tell them not to come. I said, “Thus, what if I don’t go? I must go. I’ll go even if I have to go alone.” But since it was only reachable by ship, not by a car. I couldn’t go alone. What could we do, as all the ships were canceled?

Even so, I insisted on going. The weather was extremely stormy with very strong gale winds. It was enormous. At that time, even large ships were not allowed to set sail due to the danger. We ended up taking a dangerous small boat across the sea, though I didn’t realize it at the time. I only learned about it later when the sister (Ella), who was with me along with the priest, visited Naju. She said we had used a small boat. How dangerous it was!

It was because the big ships refused to set sail and I said I would go no matter what. Now that I think about it, how perplexed they must have been! They must have been terrified on that small boat. Though no one spoke up, I could see them trembling with fear. So, I told everyone to go down to the cabin. Since the boat was small, the cabin was also cramped. They all went down, including the priest.

At that time, I stood outside alone, praying, "Lord, thank You! Thank you for letting me go by boat like this! I believe You will surely guide us safely on this journey!" With my eyes closed and my hands extended, I continued to pray in tongue throughout the storm until we arrived. It was raining heavily, and the wind was strong.

They were worried that if something happened to me, they would be held responsible. So they had brought along two of the best swimmers in the Philippines. If anything had happened to me in the middle of the sea, one person alone wouldn’t have been able to bring me back to land. That’s why they arranged for the two best swimmers to come along. I kept my eyes closed and prayed the whole time. Then suddenly, I heard cheering. When I opened my eyes, we had already arrived.

The people in the cabin came up cheering and rejoicing, and those waiting for us were dancing and celebrating too. They were so worried when they heard I was coming that they might have thought, “How can someone be so reckless?” They said, “How could she ever come through such danger?” Yet, knowing I was determined to come, they continued to pray, looking in the direction where our boat would arrive. Then, they finally saw a light on the sea.

The light was approaching, and the whole sea was pitch black. But God brightly shone onto where our boat was. So, He led us to a safe arrival. Witnessing this, a person from a family of third-generation Protestant pastors converted to Catholicism. Such great graces were given to us. So, dear ones, we have nothing to fear. If we go forward with complete trust and without fear, the Lord will do it for us.

While going across the sea, I prayed for the sake of the spiritual and physical health of the attendees, saying, “Even though the rain is pouring down like a waterfall, and each time a drop of rain falls, please turn it into the Precious Blood of Jesus and the Blessed Mother’s Tears, Tears of Blood, Fragrant Oil and thick Mother’s Milk, from which, every attendee may be spiritually and physically healed today. Wash and clean them and break through what has been clogged in them.”

Let us all live through the Prayers of Life, then the Five Spiritualities! When you offer up everything graciously by the Prayers of Life, then the Five Spiritualities, such good results come forth. The Lord and the Blessed Mother will perform miracles of love!

What we ultimately need is Heaven. We don't know how much time we have left in our lives, so we must truly be born anew spiritually. Faith can move mountains, but pride can bring down the whole world. However, love can lift up the whole world. Let us arm ourselves with love. As Jesus has allowed us freewill, He cannot force us. But don’t forget that He is always with us, dear ones!

We have to live by practicing the Five Spiritualities every day and at every moment. Don’t neglect anything in your life. For example, you are working on a collaborative project and are diligent, but others are only making excuses and avoiding work. If you think, “How annoying!” all the merit you’ve accumulated will crumble. Right? (Yes.)

“How unwilling to work must he be to behave like that? Alright, let me do it out of love for them.” In this way, you can turn it into an act of love. With love indeed! Then you will feel so happy and joyful. We should turn our daily lives into prayers joyfully. Otherwise, we might easily become distracted in our hearts.

So, in order not to be upset, let’s always accept everything as "My Fault" and offer it up. In doing so, even if someone curses you or slaps you, you can think, "Yes, how much Jesus loves me that the devil must have slapped me." When something goes wrong, people often fail to recognize their own faults because they tend to be self-centered. Although you may not be like them, we all, in some way, contribute to the problem.

Even when you defecate or fart, you can pray for those (who wronged you). Though it matters how bad the smell is (laugh). But when it’s very bad, you can use it as an opportunity to pray even more! (Amen!) “Oh, Jesus, thank You. Please remove all our evil and foul habits from our souls, and bodies!” How good this prayer is! Earlier, you heard the testimonies on the grace. When you immerse yourself in the Prayers of Life, you can't imagine how interesting it is. Those who haven’t experienced it won’t understand.

If we strive to do it and lay down everything by practicing the Five Spiritualities, we can accomplish anything. In the rest of our lives, we don’t know at all whether we will pass away today, tomorrow, or live for a hundred years. So, what should we do to experience joy, love, and peace for the rest of our lives? (The Five Spiritualities!) We need to arm ourselves with the Five Spiritualities and put them into practice to enjoy joy, love, and peace. Then, we will be living in heaven. We should experience heaven not only after death but also here and now in this world. Thank you!

Let us meditate on the Messages of Love.

This is the Message of Love from Jesus on September 8, 2001.

“My beloved children! I am comforted by your sacrifices and reparations filled with love. When you follow Me in greater solidarity and unity in the Holy Trinity, I, Who allowed your meeting, will perform miracles of love, and you will enjoy Heaven together with Me and My Mother in the joy of being in harmony with the Saints at every moment, even when it appears that (everything) has failed and is hopeless.”
Amen!

This is the Message of Love from the Blessed Mother on September 2, 2006.

“My beloved children! In order for God, Who listens attentively to the sounds of prayers combined with sacrifices, penances, and gracious offerings by little souls gathered with their hearts filled with unrestricted love and devotion to bestow the cup of blessing instead of the cup of wrath, if more children gather and pray with their hearts widely open and in all sincerity, He will send down boundless love and blessing instead of chastisement that He is to send down.” Amen!

I hope that the Messages of Love from Jesus and the Blessed Mother will come true for all of you as declared. Amen!

Place your hands on your chest and let us lay down all the inward pains, the pain in our body, the spiritual pain before Jesus. If we have any heavy burdens, let’s carry them and bring them to the foot of Jesus’ Cross. Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are burdened, and I will give you rest.” If we entrust everything to Him and move forward with faith and trust, God will grant love to us and embrace us in the arms of Jesus and the Blessed Mother.

We are unworthy sinners. How dare we call the Lord our Father? Yet, no matter how ugly we are or how sinful we are, our Father will never abandon us. He waits with open arms for us to repent and return. Let’s remember this. Even if we’ve made mistakes or wrongdoings which caused pain to the Hearts of the Lord and the Blessed Mother, let’s stand up again immediately, like a roly-poly toy, and go forward to the Lord and the Blessed Mother.

Jesus, for the rest of our lives, let us follow You and the Blessed Mother by fully practicing the Five Spiritualities, so that we may fill up the deep abyss that lies between Your Greatness and our triviality. Help us to remain awake and perform the miracles of love. May all of this bring glory to the Lord, comfort to the Blessed Mother, and may our gratitude never dry up.

Jesus, You were crucified, died, and were buried to save us, and on the third day, You rose from the dead. Jesus, please, resurrect all of us anew. Transfuse into our heads the Precious Blood You shed for us, the very Precious Blood You poured out to the last drop, without sparing any drop of Water or Blood.

Without missing any cell from our head to toe, wash away clean and wipe away and break through what is clogged in us, so that we may be reborn anew in the arms of the Lord and the Blessed Mother. May this bring glory to the Lord, comfort to the Blessed Mother, and may our gratitude never dry up.

🎼
Lord, You know all the sorrows of this sinner.
Wash my past painful wounds with Your Precious Blood.
This sinner who is wandering, please embrace me.
You are the only one for me to rely on, Lord.

“I’m lonely. I’m sad,” this sinner complained.
I have found joy through practicing the Five Spiritualities.
Wounded by those I loved, my soul became sick with bitterness.
Only the Five Spiritualities are my solace.

This sinner who wandered off and agonized in conflict.
Accepting all as my fault enabled me to offer up.
With Semchigo and Amen, and Turning my daily life into Prayers,
I will be healed through repentance,
and arm myself with the Five Spiritualities.
I will go to Heaven with the Five Spiritualities.
Amen!
